I’m more of a pink person.

Lauren Wiebe

I am Caucasian or white, and I am only starting to really think about what that means for me on a daily basis. I’m not hyper-aware of my own race because I have not experienced discrimination or insensitive questions about my heritage/ethnicity/nationality etc. I can humorously call myself a pink person because ultimately I am not made to feel ashamed of my whiteness or looked down upon by others simply for being the race I am. Many Americans cannot say the same and I think we need to continue working towards making race a non-issue.
