Mexican and yes, I’m highly educated.

Gabriela Bonilla
Palmdale, CA

Both my parents were born in Mexicali, Mexico and migrated to the USA for great opportunities. I was born into a blended family and had a total of four sisters and two brothers. Growing up in a home with several sisters, my sisters and myself were stereotyped that we would live the typical Mexican life of getting married, having children, and being a housewife. All my sisters including myself, continued with our education and two of my sisters have their Masters, I’m just wrapping up on first year in an MSW program, and my younger sister continues with school year to achieve her educational. Take that stereotypes!
