The first time I was called the N-word I was 5. Waiting in line with my class to use the restroom a white girl in my class walked right up to me and called me that. All she knew about me at this point was sex and my race. I didn’t know before that day I was any different than the other little girls in my class. Since then I have never been able to forget how the world sees and thinks about me at 1st sight. Racism starts at home and the cure will come with all of us caring about the human race as 1.
