My white skin: my guaranteed protection

Delaney,
Amarillo, TX

Since I am a white woman, the world doesn’t see me as a threat or danger. I have the privilege of walking around knowing that the police (who are supposed to protect everyone and don’t) will protect me if I ever find myself in a bad situation. That’s something that our Black brothers and sisters don’t have.
