What am I supposed to be?

Audrey Stygar,
Pittsburgh, PA

It’s lonely living between white and South American. My mom refers to me as white and doesn’t like to hear about racial difficulties I have. I’m light skinned, but people still comment on my complexion and try to guess where I’m from. I don’t know what I am. I’m trying to teach myself Spanish now that I’m in my late 20s, and I feel so lost and disconnected from this whole half of myself.
