I chose these six words because even though there is not much difference concerning race biologically, there is socially. Growing up I learned that the color of our skin and our cultural background impact the type of treatment we get. Race serves as a constant reminder that no matter how similar me and another person might be, if we do not have the same skin tone then we are not seen as equals.
