Teacher this is my home flag

Randi Sin,
Eureka, CA

When my dad was in the 3rd grade he was tasked to draw his home flag. He proceeded to draw the American flag, in which the teacher told him this was incorrect, his was the Mexican Flag. This was met with very offending words from my grandmother, who just like my dad, was born here. The teacher assumed that just because he was Mexican, he was born in Mexico.
