I was colorblind. Now I see.

Suzi,
Seattle, WA

I am white and grew up surrounded by whiteness. I was oblivious to what it meant to be non-white; to the fact that I did not see my own race, but only those of others. I have fairly become so much more aware of what my whiteness means in this society, and also how much this society holds bias against persons of color. Thanks so much to Robin D’Angelo (and many others) for helping me to see and to change.
