My queerness dilutes my white privilege

Nhyx Webb,

Being a queer person in the US makes me super aware of the censure and judgement that others experience. Although a white person, and having no idea what it’s like being a person of color, I do know what it is like to be discriminated against for being who I am. I did not choose to be queer, it is simply part of who I am, much like we do not choose our skin color. I try my best to use this lens when I encounter others so that I bring more awareness to each human interaction.
