You’re Probably Not Racist, You’re Classist.

Melanie Moctezuma,

There is a difference between racism and classism. Being racist is hating a race, you already know what the definition is. Being classist on the other hand, is being discriminatory towards a specific economic class. You may think that you’re racist because, though I hate to admit it, as a person of color, a large majority of the lower class population consists of POC. Though, it doesn’t matter what color their skin is or what race they are, a big chunk of lower class citizens show the same behavioral issues. Those issues being; being loud, having a so-called attitude, and having criminal tendencies. So, you’re probably not racist, just classist.
